I do think it came out “perfect”…not!

img_20190131_103407446For the last couple of weeks, I’ve been trying to tackle a major build from Dreaming Tree! Since I have grown to love 3D builds, I thought this would be a great undertaking.  It was!

I couldn’t wait to get started.  I had already build the Winter Cottage, and thought this would be a great thing to add to my winter mantle display. So I was all focused on building the Enchanted Winterland Castle.

I thought this would be so much fun, and it was, twice! Yes, I built two of them, or should I say 1 3/4. I decided it needed to be small than the original, so I resized all the files to 77%.  That worked out great! Everything fit the way it should have etc.

50777265_10217810544239941_5266372169734029312_oThis is the first one I built, beautiful, right.  Well as long as you don’t look at the sides, it came out wonderful. Everyone on the dreaming tree group thought it was perfect.
Opps the Wall Doesn't Fit They could only see the front. misfithotglueI wanted to throw it in the trash.  Hubby and about 100 other people said NO!! They couldn’t tell anything was wrong with it.  I could and that was all that mattered.
So I was determined I could get this right.  So I headed to my next adventure to create a new one. Thanks to my best friend, Nancy, she had sent me a ton of cardstock she no longer wanted. I had so many colors to choose from. So now it was time to plan a color scheme and try and do it full size, in case that was the problem. I took my time and planned every thing out perfect.
I do think it came out “perfect”…not!

There are things that aren’t exactly how I wanted them, but…it’s “perfect”. Not everything lined up just exactly right, but this time I used liquid glue and not the glue gun, so it could be adjusted better (“perfect”).

In the long run, it is beautiful, I love it the more I look at it. It was an accomplishment to say the least, and I really do consider it a beautiful masterpiece.  It doesn’t fit on my mantle like the smaller version. Which is still on my mantle and I just try and not look at the bad sides, LOL! My hubby loves it, so I kept it there.  Don’t know what I’m going to do with the big “perfect” one, but I’m going to keep it.

So as your creating your masterpieces, keep in mind nothing is every perfect! Perfect is in the eye of the beholder! So check out Dreaming Tree’s Enchanted Castle and give it a go.  I think you will love it! Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my Castles!

I hope this help you with the process.  I’ve also included a list of products I use to create these lovely flowers.  Patterns for the flowers were purchased from Dreaming Tree. You can view more close ups here.
