Get your money’s worth!

img_20191206_124151580_burst000_coverToday I wanted to feature something about one of the Dreaming Tree files I created.  I loved their Gingerbread House they released in December. In fact, I couldn’t wait to make it.  I wanted to make an advent calendar for my 3 grandsons in Denver, so I wanted incorporate the house. I created the little boxes by using their FREE butterfly box. I filled each box with a candy kiss for the boys. Then  inside the house, I put a big candy bar for each of them.  They loved this so much.  The Gingerbread men on the top is from the Gingerbread Junction SVG Bundle, which also includes the house. In fact, I made all 3 of theses items as gifts for the holidays.

After Christmas was over, I really wanted to make one of these houses for me, well, I didn’t want to put it out as a gingerbread house, so I created a winter village.  I used the exact same SVG file, minus a few of the Christmas decorations, and added some windows by the door instead of the Candy trees.  Look how beautiful it came out.img_20200102_173547060_hdr

It now sits on my mantle with all my other Winter projects I made for this.  I show you more in other posts. You could easily make this to add to a spring scene with bunnies and a whole lot more.  Just think of the pretty decorations you could have for your house with just one kit.

Solid Score Lines and SVG Files – Video

I do a lot of Dreaming Tree  and #svgcuts projects. I use a silhouette with solid score lines where possible, because I don’t like the nibs the dashed lines have. A lot of people have said that isn’t possible with silhouette to score. If I made of video of how I do it would anyone be interested?
When I complete my projects, the folds look like I use a bone folder to score them.
Here is the video, it’s nothing fancy but hopefully useful.
Be sure to subscribe on my channel so you can be sure to catch the new tips I have coming out.
This is the blade I’m talking about using in the video, you will be amazed at how long the blades last and how precise the cut is.  If I was to still be using the Silhouette blades, I’ve given up a long time ago.
